1: Sunshine:
Follow the tagged information for what type of sun the
Bloomer should get. Even Shade baskets need some sun to
keep blooming strong.
2: Water:
This is among the most important of the instructions. In
the hot summer, baskets and planters get thirsty and
need to be given a drink every day (sometimes twice if
it is really hot). You can check to see if your Bloomer
is dry by putting your finger in the soil.
The shade
loving Bloomers don't need as much water if they are in
the right location. Make sure to check them before
you water, because it is possible to water them too
much.
3:
Fertilize:
Baskets and Planters are not in the ground, and need
this boost to stay healthy. An all purpose mix should do
the trick. We use fertilizers that you water into
the Bloomer. This kind of fertilizer is easy and
widely available.
4: Pruning:
Don't hesitate to give your Baskets and Planters a
hair-cut. Trimming back old growth leads to new growth,
and a fuller Bloomer. When, how much, and how
often you cut them is a matter of taste, but don't be
afraid that you are going to hurt the plants. They
are surprisingly resilient.
